My Approach
The counseling experience is unlike anything else. It should feel safe and encouraging while also being uncomfortable and hard at times. That is why finding a counselor that you feel comfortable with is so important. I believe the client-therapist relationship is fundamental to the work that can be accomplished. Therefore, I base my approach on Client-Centered Therapy. I will also use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Insight Oriented Therapy. I also have formal training and experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I can also provide Faith-Based Christian counseling.
